Fieldsmith Home Arts

"Fieldsmith Home Arts" studio was created as a place where I could to teach those home arts that provide self-sufficiency and satisfaction for individuals and families.  The name Fieldsmith is a blend of my maiden name of Smith and my married name of Butterfield.

Our Fieldsmith Farm is located on a 24 acre property located in an exquisitly beautiful agriculture area at the foot of the mountain on Smith Creek Road. We farm the acreage, and we enjoy harvesting fresh produce from our gardens.

It is a joy to welcome you to our home and studio—a place where friends can gather to learn and be creative.

Breadmaking 2023

Is learning to make homemade bread on your new year's resolution list? Picture your home filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread and pretzel rolls.

I invite you to my Fieldsmith Farm studio to learn the craft of bread-making.  Together we will learn how to mix, knead, shape and bake homemade bread. While our loaves of artisan bread are rising, we will make pretzel buns that will elevate hamburgers and sandwiches to new heights!  Each guest will take home a loaf of bread, a few Pretzel buns, and hopefully contact information for a new friend from the class. This class is suitable for cooks of all skill levels.

I wanted to thank you again for a wonderful class and experience yesterday.  It was first class all the way!  A fun, learning experience from a knowledgeable person.  I certainly would have paid more than I did had I known what I would gain from the class.  You also threw in a gorgeous view for free!  Thanks again.

Congratulations to @bevbutterfield on her lovely Fieldsmith Farm LLC Studio where she hosted another cooking class-this time, rolls, cinnamon buns, and peach cobbler jam.  I've always been intimidated to make these prooducts, but Bev made it seem easy!  A very fun, socially distant class-I highly recommend. #fieldsmithfarm #fieldsmithhomearts #homesteading #homemadebread #homemadecinnamonbuns #homemadejam
